Black Desert Online Reveals Agent Class and Big Quality of Life Updates

The 2026 Heidel Ball brought a massive wave of excitement for Black Desert Online fans. The standout reveal was the 32nd class, Edward Henry Canary, known as Agent. A sophisticated contrast to the outlaw Deadeye, Agent is a master of espionage who wields a revolver, grenades, and a tactical hexround. With gameplay focused on strategic positioning and heavy, precise hits, he brings a fresh, spy like flavor to the combat system.

Fans looking to play Agent will not have to wait long. The class is scheduled for a July 29, 2026 release in Korea, followed by a global rollout on July 30 and a console release on August 6. Pearl Abyss also shared a new development roadmap, confirming that they will release one new class per year moving forward. This change focuses on releasing the Succession path in the summer and the Awakening path in the winter to ensure better class balance for all 32 current characters.

Beyond the new combatant, Pearl Abyss introduced a highly requested quality of life update that allows for instant character swapping. Adventurers can now switch between family members in the open world or via the character menu without enduring long loading screens. This update aims to make managing multiple characters and preparing for boss encounters much faster and more enjoyable for everyone involved.
