During a recent update, Level 5 president Akihiro Hino shared some interesting details about Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. He mentioned that the game is moving beyond simple puzzles to provide a story that will make players stop and think about the ending.

Hino noted that the team decided to use AI technology as a thematic part of the narrative. He believes this choice will lead to a conclusion that stays with fans long after the credits roll. While the game will still feature the classic puzzle gameplay everyone loves, the plot seems to be taking a much deeper turn than previous entries.
